ABOUT
Maxime Rouxel was born in Dinan, a quaint town in Brittany, France. With an illustrious career spanning 25 years as an insurance broker at two major corporate firms in France, he found solace and joy in the art of cooking.
During the pandemic, Maxime took a leap of faith, embarking on a career transformation. He pursued his passion for cooking by attending EMC2 in Rennes, Brittany, where he achieved the prestigious title of Maître Crêpier, Master Crêpe Maker.
In the year 2022, Maxime decided to embark on a new adventure and relocated to Denver, Colorado. There, he fulfilled his dream of establishing his own venture, which he affectionately named Captain Crêpes, as a nod to his heritage as the son of a French fisherman. Now, Maxime delights locals and visitors alike with his delectable crêpes at various Farmer’s Markets around Denver during the market season, and also at lively festivals.
With his culinary expertise and passion for the art of crêpe-making, Captain Crêpes has quickly become a beloved and sought-after name in the local food scene, bringing a taste of Brittany, France, to the heart of Colorado.
